There are things that a man ought to study and there are things that a man will produce of his own. Of course, what he produces of his own, is not in isolation of what he studies. But still, it is his own creation, produced as a novelty in this world. It may be good or bad, that is another matter.

Everyone is ‘creating’ something as they live on this Earth. I mean, apart from you know, the very basic matter - Carbon dioxide, digestive juices, blood, stool, urine etc. They are ‘creating’ at least something. It’s hard not to create anything. Because it is hard not to do anything. Man cannot renounce ‘all action’ as long as he is alive. And actions have consequences. So, he ends up creating something.

In simpler words, we can see people creating Instagram posts, memories in their mind - good or bad, poems, articles, technology, software, and what not.

In historical context, Kings created kingdoms and we see their relics today. Writers wrote books, and read these books today.

‘Creation’ means what a man will ‘produce’ of his mind. Man is blessed with an intellect and he is born with free will. So it is highly likely that he can ‘create’ things. Perhaps this is how the ‘Creator’ meant it to be.

On a different note, I must emphasize that this ‘Creation’ category should be taken seriously by people. I do not mean it in the ‘create more’ sense. I mean it as in ‘own your creation’ sense. In today’s world of ‘cloud’ storage, we do not even know where our creation resides. Earlier, a person wrote a book on paper that was in front of him, a painter painted on a paper that was in front of him, a sculptor sculpted a stone that was in front of him. But today, people create text, images, videos, audios on a ‘digital platform’ they have no idea about.

Therefore, I opine that everyone should take full ownership of all the data they create. I urge the ‘digital platforms’ to help enable this as far as possible.

Hence, this ‘Creation’ category is essential for all the original work that we create.
