Milagai Podi

  1. Take

    • 250 gm Urad dal,
    • 125 gm chana dal,
    • 1 tsp toor dal,
    • Hing (Big 1/2 gooseberry size),
    • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds,
    • 2 tbsp white sesame seeds,
    • Red chillies (dried?) 75 gm
  2. Dry roast the chillies.

  3. Dry roast udal dal alone, then chana dal alone (add toor dal in it after a while), then black sesame seeds alone, then white sesame seeds alone.

  4. Add sesame oil and hot, add hing onto it and roast, add red chillis in this and roast.

  5. Red chillies and hing in one plate, rest other in one plate

  6. Let it cool to room temperature.

  7. Add 1.5 tsp salt to dal plate,

  8. After cooling down, cut the stalk of red chillies. Grind red chillies and hing.

  9. Grind all and mix well. Let it cool down and store in air tight container (2 months can use)

  10. To eat, add oil and eat with idli etc.
